 MICROTEACHING SAMPLE LESSON PLAN

1. Profile:

Class: 1 No of Period: 1 Time: 10 Mins

Subject: English Topic: Noun (Thing)

2. Objectives: at the end of the lesson students will be able to:

i. Identify Noun in daily life

3. Teaching Aids and Reference:

i. Whiteboard ii. Charts iii. Markers iv. Paper slips v. Graphic Organizer

4. Warmup/Motivation: (1 minute)

Motivate the students by showing chart having Noun and asking questions such as:

i. What they see in the surrounding?

ii. What they see in the room?

5. Methodology/Presentation: (3 minutes)

i. Demonstration Method will be used to explain Noun thoroughly by showing charts and doing an activity in the class

ii. Students will be asked to pick the slips from the box

iii. Students will be asked to fill the graphic organizer

6. Practice: (2 minutes)

i. Students will be asked to highlight the objects in their school bags and teacher will help them to identify them as Noun.

7. Summary: (1 minute)

Teacher will summarize the topic by referring students’ responses of practice time.

8. Assessment: (2 minutes)

Teacher will ask student to come in corridor and identify objects in their surrounding and call their names and describe the qualification of it in relation to the definition of a Noun.

9. Assignment: (1 minute)

Students will be asked to identify at least 5 objects (Noun: Things) at home and draw them as well name them in their copy.

Subject: Maths Topic: Area and Perimeter


 


2. Objectives: at the end of the lesson students will be able to:


                     i. Define perimeter


                   ii. Describe the formula of perimeter


                 iii. Determine the perimeter of different shapes


 


3. Teaching Aids and Reference:


                     i. Whiteboard ii. Textbook iii. Scale iv. Shapes cutout v. Duster vi. Marker  


 


4. Warmup/Motivation: (1 minute)


                          i. Students will be asked to identify the shapes given to them


                        ii. Students will be asked how to measure the boundary of these shapes


 


5. Methodology/Presentation: (3 minutes)


                        i. Demonstration Method will be used to explain Perimeter teacher will draw a rectangle on board and share the concept of length and breadth of any closed figure.


                      ii. Teacher will share the formula of perimeter of rectangle on whiteboard

                    iii. Teacher will find the perimeter of whiteboard


                    iv. Then students will be asked to measure the perimeter of rectangle given to them


6. Practice: (2 minutes)


                        i. Students will be asked solve the given worksheet related to determining perimeter.


7. Summary: (1 minute)


Teacher will summarize the topic by referring students’ responses of practice time.


8. Assessment: (2 minutes)


Teacher will ask student to come determine the perimeter of their notebook and pencil case. 


9. Assignment: (1 minute)


Students will be asked to identify perimeter of any rectangular shape object available at their home such as TV or refrigerator.
